PicsArt Kids is a great app for kids that are younger than five. They can draw free form with different brush sizes or they can use the app more like a coloring book to either draw on pre-created backgrounds or just color in pictures that already exist. The things to color are pretty basic so older kids might get bored, but it's perfect for the young ones.
The app seems to have a crashing problem with it's most recent update on iOS, but Android users do seem to love it! So, if your kids want to color but you don't want them getting marker or crayon all over everything, then this app is a great alternative.
