Electronic Arts (EA) is one of the earliest video game developers, originally founded way back in 1982 by Trip Hawkins as a pioneer in the early home computer games industry. Since that time the company has expanded exponentially and now dominates many game genres with globally recognized titles like EA Sports’ Madden Football. In recent years EA has pushed hard into mobile app gaming with a fair amount of resistance from gamers who now see the company as a massive corporate interest focused on squeezing maximum revenue out of In App Purchases (IAP) rather than aiming to create the best games with the most value for gaming fans. Hopefully this great studio can one day regain all of its former fan-appreciated glory!
