Camp & Tent is a great app by Allstays, an app and technology company that specializes in alternative accommodations. This app tells you where there are campgrounds that accept tent camping on your route. It has a map view to help you find them, and it also lets you know what features are at the campground. The problem with this app is that places open and close frequently and it doesn't seem like the app keeps up with that very well.
However, if you find yourself on a road trip and in a pinch, it's probably worth it to use this app, though it is pricey and some say they would rather just use Google.
